On and on the rain will fall.
Going up at 5 a'clock Thursday morning felt completely sick. Not used to go up that early. God.
Took the bus to Waterfront, met Linus and went over to North Van with the seabus. Over there we met the guy we were sharing ride with. I found his post on craigslist, it gave us a 10$ ride up to Whistler instead of 32$.
Beautiful ride up there. Driving on the edge of the mountain having a view over the sea. Awesome !
Got up there early, it takes only 1 hour and 15 min. The sun wasnt up yet and it was freaking cold. Surprised.
We had a short strole in the small village, grabbed a coffee and checked things out.
The sun got to us a hour later and got it to be beautiful. I loved it the first second i got there. Very different from Bad Gastein, this is much bigger of course but still a small village.
We got a map of some trail around and started to walk our way to the hostel. Amazing walk crossing golfparks, bear poo and lakes.
The houses around is some crazy shit too. Not the cheapest ones for sure. We chilled out at a picnic area, eating Risen enjoying the sun and views.
Ended up in our hostel, which was alright. Not the best but fine. Got a doorm to ourself so cant really complain. Even though we had a hole in the bathroom wall. Pretty wicked. haha !
I got to my interview, that i found on craigslist. It was an open one so we were probably around 80 of us there. God. A really strange group interview for sure. We got in groups of ten and the only questions we very kind of talking about was your best party, the best food you know and you had to find out what you had in common whit the person next to you.
It was such a different one. So have no idea if they are gonna hire anyone at all. Experience wasnt required they looked for personality. So hopefully I did a good impression. Let's cross finger, I really do want to go up there. Loved it.
When our group was ready, we weer the last one. We all went for some beers and the bar next door. Linus met up with us and we then went for dinner, drinks and clubbing. Got a lot of new friends up there already. They all live there now though. I so wan to move up there now, it was beautiful.
Unfortunetly I can't. Need some money and it can take a while until i get hired.
As i heard, no one really start to hirer until end of october begining of November so might move up there then and cross my fingers. Yeah, another winter season it will me. I'm sure !
It was a crazy day and night up there. Leavcing early for the bus back and work. A bit smashed yesturday for sure.

I want to dedicate the first sentences to my brother MARTIN. He had his big 18th birthday and I feel really bad not being there. Im sure he had a great day anyway. Hope you enjoy your present with the worlds fastest car and all my
LOVE to you bro.
Realised that I love fall. Maybe because im a fall kid. Or to be exactly, a HOLLOWEEN kid. It gives me such a great feeling to see all the colour-full trees everywhere. It's getting cooler. I love it. Beautiful times.
Going for a visit to Whistler this week, Hope Linus is going with me. Want to move there and get myself a job. Let's cross fingers.
Had a great day the other day woth Linus at North-Van. Thanks man ! :p.

Home.
Time is passing by quite quick and I can't decide what I want to do. Thinkin of leaving beautiful Vancouver for Whistler this winter. Cold winter, lots of snow, skiing. Yeah it all. Loads of partying, crazy people.. I just dont know. I do like my jobs here, Urban is sweet and I had my first night in the bar the other day.
It went out awesome. They do have there special Candian and american drinks but learned them all so it went out fine. Conventions center was built for the OS is Vancouver. A massive building facing the water and North Vancouver. The glad is eartquake safe and its a green building. The night I was there we hosted 4700 People. Fireworks whit music, Gymnasts, Fireshow, Singers, Food and drinks that the american techinich company all paid for. Can't even imagine how much money they spend for this. It's all over my ears.
I was lucky getting the bar outside, nice temperature and all of them smoke so I was busy. I even got to see the Fireworks with music. Never seen something like that. Beautiful for sure.
Looking forward to next night to work there !
Went with Nick and Yasan the other day for the Aquarium and dinner. Aquarium wasnt the biggest place on earth but sweet. Feels unreal when I have seen 80% of what they have in reality. I saw it all in South America. It was still cool though. Been there done that.
The rain has hit Vancouver now, still having some great days. Hoping for a sweet day tomorrow so me and Nick can walk up grouse mountain and see the view of the hole Vancouver. I really do hope.
Just send my applications for the cruise ship job, hoping to get one. I really do.
So, now I have to find out, Where is home ?

Humle.
Great Friday, went for lunch with twenty other guys and a few of us went for a walk down to Granville island, saw the market and ended up for some beers. Chatting and enjoying. Me, Ria and Corey went downtown, to gas town and cambie. A place I fell in love with after one second. In the end of the night, after more beers than planned and a hole day with hundreds of people I was exhausted, drunk but most of all happy. Such an cool Friday, happines all over.
Today was my first day at urban, went out well and I liked it. Walked the beautiful Stanley park, 10km, worth every step. Tomorrow is work and some evening beers, have to enjoy a September with 26 C. Summer, oh yeah.
- Life is what you make it.
Neadle n' Wire.
Vancouver is beautiful. Love it :)
The cafe turnout in bad luck, the owner just sold the place and the new owners wants there son and wife to work. We all got fired. Damn.
But, listened to this, I've went to a interview for urban outfitters and guess what, I got the job. So from Sunday on I'm gonna work for them, love there clothes ! Yey. It's perfect. :)
And the cafe job is finishing at Saturday I couldn't have been luckier.. Still gonna they to get some extra bartender shifts somewhere but for now it's all good. Celebrating with kexchoklad and bilar that my lovely mom just send to me. I love you mom. Sweetest.
So, as far, enjoying my time here.
- illy.
Uhhh uhhh uaaahhhh.
By now I've been trough three days of work. My first two was very slow, not that many guest. Today was busier so better.
I do like the cafe, the look is very posh but it's not like it at all. I'm just feeling that if it's not TOO busy now it won't be that later on eater which means I'm gonna go crazy there. Bored out my nipples probably..
Was at a interview yesterday and it went awesome ! Seen from my way at least but I think it's from both sides. It's a new sports bar opening and I loved it ! The owners was lovely and we had such a good time from the first second. Fingers crossed.
Had another interview today for a massive event company, only part time thou but if I get that it's just for fun. Not sure, it was crazy many that searched for it.. Time will tell.
Time for bed, work day tomorrow.
- On everything you do, the only thing that will stop you is the limit of time.
Five of five toasters.
Vancouver har been boiling hot. Hd almost thirty the other day. Poor me, don't have much summer clothes at all. Fucking chile was cold. Bugger !
Anyway, I love this city. It's a lot like Bergen, just two million inhabitants bigger.. It's parks, close to the sea, boats, BEACHES, mountains around, skiing, IKEA, hundreds of bars, starbucks and I love it ! I can actually see myself stay here. Don't know forever but this could definitely turn into home very very soon.
I've been around, trying to get myself a job and today I did.
Been here five days, after two i got myself a room and after five.. I had a trial at a nice Cafe downtown. On the edge of the water, harbor. Thinking that this is a lot like Bergen. So tomorrow I'll start. The girls working the was lovely so I'm sure I will have a great time. In this week I'm going for a interview for Urban Outfitters, my favorite clothes store. I sooooo want that job and the good thing is that I could probably mix them. The salary he is SHIT ! And that is probably a nice statement. It SUCKS. I think it's only half of what I got in Norway but I do love it.
And hopefully I get a job in a bar I search for swell, liked myself there a lot ! At least I have something at the time it's better than nothing. So, eleven month of and tomorrow it's time to work. That's gonna be strange, but funny !!
- Lucky Lucky me.
My northern light.
Sixteen new countries later I've got to Canada and Vacnouver. My new home.
My plan is To stay here for a year with my working visa, I managed to find a room in a crazy cool house not to far from downtown Vancouver. So today, my third day here I moved in.
Steve is the owner of the house and me and Katie is renting a room each. I've got a big bed, TV, closet. Everything you need. Now I'm just waiting for my cloth to be sent from sweden !
I love Vancouver so far, such a nice city. Close to the water, mountains and the area around is just beautiful. I'm gonna work hard to get myself a job as soon as possible. I need it, eleven month without work has made me a bit poor at the time,
But for real, I'm looking forward to work. Speciall when I don't know anyone here, I have to make friends too, I could always grab people on the street but I do think they will think of me like a TARD if I do. So no..
I actully happend to get to know Zoe today just on the street ! Someone to hang out with. Going to met Kousha tomorrow and met a girl named Johanna too. So, so far I'm doing a good job. But I'm gonna do even better !
got my Canadian phone number swell, 001 604 347 4706. Send me an sms, that will always make me happy.
- it's time to play. Fuck yeah.
With Love,
I left South America with incredible memories, this memories that you can't describe.
Everything I've seen and done. Can't believe it's for real. I'm still feeling that's it's been a dream, if so it's been the best dream ever.
I have so much love to all those countries. They are all amazing. A adventure that I never wanted to end. But I realize that there is no end, my adventure will keep rocking even outside south America.
And I know, I will go back there one day. It will take some time. I do like to see something else first. Its my biggest recommendation to go there. They are all the crazies, most beautiful, sandiest, saltiest, mountainiest, coolest, hardest, unsafest but of all THE BEST countries I've been too.
My time have made me different in one way. A good way I think, I'm even more social then before, I talk even more ( now you are all thinking, oh god no.. ), happier ( there is no end about that.. ).
Im interested in history and culture of different countries by now, didn't like it at all before. And even more curious..
All those wonderful persons I met. Both locals and other backpackers, they are all amazing.
Some you met for an hour, others a day and a few for weeks. But they were all cool. That's what I like about traveling, the people. They are the ones making the place in the end anyway.
- For this time, goodbye South America. I Love You.
Earthquake.
I was supposed to spend a long time in Santiago, never been in one place thatlong. ( oh, yeah exept from Cuzco.. ) Anyway, i was there to do some job searching and accomendation and stuff for Vancouver. Did I ?
Nope, nada. and now i realized how expensive the hostel´s is. So i signed up for couchsurfing so i might have a couch to sleep in my first days at least ! Lets hope.
Stayed at Aji Hostel, one of the best ones ive actuely been too. All the people and everything has been great.
Met up Felipe, we met in Asia in the begining, and i have to dedcate a few sentenses to him. Would like to say thank you, he took me in open arms, showed me around, i met loads of his friends and everyone was lovely. Its been awesome ! you are an amazing guy and keep doing what you are doing. You will become something big.
So, been around on house parties with just locals. Good fun. I´ve also been out a lot with peoples from the hostel. BUT ive done some good things too, a few museums, Free guided tour ( that was great ! ), cementery, fish market and of course drinking the local terremoto. Translated as earthquake. and i can see why, after two you´re going mad.
The drink is cheap white wine, very strong by the way, some pisco and pinaple ice cream. Its sounds strange, it was a bit too but me and Alan had a great time after a few in a local bar where everyone just stared at us as usal. haha. Good times..
The best was a one day skii trip with Alan. I loved it. Miss my skiing a lot, snow was good. ( not the offpist.. bugger.. ) we had a sunny day and my skiis were good. Loved every second. Even got a bit sunburned. haha.. Im soo white now days. Need the sun.. Didnt break any boans but got a painfull back days after. Did loads of jumping and apperently i dont have the muscels.. :D Valle Nevado is recomended !
Now im in Valpariso, its beautiful. Went to Lovely Viña Del Mar yesturday and walked on the beach. Was a while ago ive been on the beach. Realized i missed it ! And its weekend so we ust had to go for some partying.. haha. Heavy, i start to get tired. Crazy. But tomorrow its rest day and on monday i will leave this amazing continent that´s now deep in my heart ! Looking forward for some swedish gratinated potatoes tomorrow made by Joanna. Oh yeah !
- days are passing by. Memories stay forever.
Street-Fuck.
Cordoba wasnt impressive at all. I thought it was nothing to see at all. There was for sure a few nice buildings but thats it. Had two days to just stroll around on. Could manage that for sure.
Met some sweet peoples and on monday we were going out for a drink. Cordoba is still a big city. There was nothing going on, and we really walkt around. Stopt when we started to met girls on the side walks with just a jacket and nothing else. Realized that it wasnt the right day for a drink.
Got a local bar in the end and got both beer and pizza.. Better then nothing.
Got my bus late the night after, had no sleep at all because the guy behind me was the biggest snorer ever. MAN ! I almost punched him. Enoying.. Gaaah !
Anyway, on the change in Mendoza i met some cool people too chat with and the bus ride all the way to Santiago when a lot faster.
The border was pretty slow, my first border in south america where they actully checked my bag. Can you belive it, been here for ages and this was the first time.. The road trough the Andes passing Los Andes was beautiful. Snow peaks and skiiers and just amazing. WOW ! At the moment there's not loads that impress me at the time. Seen so much now..
Pretty tried getting in to Santiago but makes my way to the hostel and was supposed to have a slow night but of course it turned out to last until four in a night club.
- Gypian - Hold you.
Impressive.
Forgot to tell you about great shopping and the impressive cemetery, that's more like a small town in BA. Thats all I'm gonna tell you I just don't have the effort to write now.
I just left iguasu and now spending twenty hours on a bus to Cordoba. Looking out my window and see a landscape covered in snow. Pretty !
Every time I see snow I get even more happy than before ! iiii.
The igusu falls was amazing. I saw the brazil side first, it's less impressing and then the Argentinian side. To see more than two hundred and fifty waterfalls in a rainforest is amazing. It's so power full and you definitely gets to have a shower, whether you want it or not.
The first thing we saw getting in to the park was a toucan, so finally I got my picture of one. They are really shy so it's hard to get them. That made my day for sure.. I was the happiest !
I've never seen anything like this and knowing that's it's natural it's just amazing. Wow !
Let's see what cordoba has to offer, I just have two days and then I'm gonna spend my last twelve days in chile before my flight leaves this amazing continent for Canada and Vancouver. Believe it or not but right now I'm looking forward to.
Knowing that I will comeback one day..
- you can never get to much of life.
Sexiest.
Buenos Aires is olden AND bigger than New York. It turned out to be the sexiest city I've ever been to. There is always something going on and it never sleeps. It's wicked.
Been staying in the "posh" area Palermo all the time. Lovely, you can easily walk around and be safe at the time. Tons of restaurants and bars and shops. Which I was looking forward to. Havnt seen good one's in a long time. I'm used not to eat sallad at those places because it's not clean enough and it's gonna make you sick but in argentina. He'll yeah !
The bars are the coolest too, so many different styles on them. Oh my buddah.
My first night I went to a very local bar where a guy singed tango music. Very very nice actully. We had a lot of red wine and I could so feel that the day after. Uh !
We went down to see the big UN ( united nations ) flower, it's a flower here and in NY the statute of liberty. The flower has a weight of 18tons and it's 18meters high. Every morning it opened after what weather it is. And closes every night at sunset. Pretty cool in my opinion. Saw the big handicraft market in San telmo on sunday. It's just massive, and I found the most beautiful bag ever. LOVE !
A really different leather bag, yey.
Nick and I went to La Boca, the dodgy neighborhood with all theire colorful house everywhere. And that's were the tango started down at the port. Goes back to the 15th century.
On My trip ive start to interested in history of all the contries. It's so much that's been happening over here. South America has an amazing history.
I've even been on a tango lesson here in BA. That was interesting. A lot of fun, didn't do a very good job in the beginning bjut got it at the end. I prefer the salsa but still fun. It's such a sexy dance. Wow.
And yeah, for being away for ten month a neded to get some new clothes. Can't believe I've been having the same for that long time. So now I'm happy I'm nice and new. And I've booked my flight to Vancouver, Canada for the 15th. Soo looking forward to stay in one place and actully to work too. It's time.
But now, I'm off to 268 waterfall. Iguasu falls.
- take your time and breath.
Snowflakes.
A snow-white landscape turned up when I got in to Barilotchein southern Argentina, a great skii-area in south America. I fell like home immediate with "alphouses", snow and chocolate shops surrounding me. Almost like salzburg.
Had a walk down at the lake looking at the snow peaks all around. Sweetness.
Even my hostel was good, loved it. Went up for some skiing one day, ( shouldnt tell you that I forgot my card so I couldn't. To embarrassing to tell.. ) good day anyway, strolling around up there a bit frustrating to see everyone with there skii's and I couldn't. Big fail.
We were catching a afternoon bus to puerto madryn so that was my only opportunity and I missed it. Oh !
It wasn't great with snow so I should just think it wouldn't been good enough..
We had a twenty hours bus ride for PM, out on the Argentinian coast. A lot warmer and no snow. ( have to say it was my worst bus ride in Argentina so far.. ) we spend a good three days there. Walking on the beach looking out over the wales. They get really close to the beach. Not more than forty meter away so you could easily hear there blowing air out and splashing there fins in the water. Cool.
We even went one hour away on the cost and did a boat trip to see them. Actully we saw them as good on the beach. Got a bit closer on the boat thoe, like ten meter away. All I wanted to see was a jump and a got loads of them. So I was pleased. New a bit what to expect since I was in New Zealand. Nick on the other hand was a bit unhappy about it.
It's not the biggest wales, the southern right wale can still get up to eighteen meter so pretty massive.
Too bad it was the off season for the penguins, wanted to see them, they have the sexing biggest penguin population outside Antarctica but like I'd said before. Next time.
From shewing coca-leafs and drinking 96% alcohol in Bolivia we're gonna enjoy some good steaks, wine and parties in Buenos Aires.
- Nervous.
Traffic-danger.
Did a day on a bicycle around the wineries in Mendoza. The wines here is to kill for. Me, two other Sara and Dave went for it. Can't remember how many different wineries we went to but it was loads, even a chocklate and liquer place, some of them we had at least two full glasses of wine in ! It's just so nice to go around, pretty warm I the sun and it feels like autumn in the air. God I miss the seasons. The end of the day made us a BIG traffic danger.. Couldnt cycle straigth anymore.. Otherwise mendoza is a sweet place, a big city with almost a million peoples living here. Today we had a stroll in the park, drinking coffee and just do nothing. Good old Sunday's. I do have one hour for my bus down to barilotche to met up old man nick again. Heard it tons of snow so be good for a day with the skii's. Let's get tired for my seventeen hour bus ride..
- you just have to enjoy.
Vino tinto.
So, where to start. We walk up the highest peak around Potosi. A bit more than 5000m. As always I got a bit altitude sickness but I was a lot better than last time and I did it.
Mirco and I made a Taliban movie on the top. Hilarious :D
The trekking was nice and we were both exhausted getting back..
Left for Tupiza the morning after. Got in, realized that the tours to the salt flats and Uyuni wasn't going so the day after we took the local bus for the second time ( man, the busses is the worst., only dirt roads too.. ) had another five hours on the bus.. Fuck.
Got in to Uyuni and because of all the snow the last days there was no tours down south to cross the border for chile.. Uyuni was freezing by the way. Minus, don't really know how much but the nights without heating is killing. Oh !
Did a one day tour at the salt flats, which I though was enough. Amazing ceenery ! Specially because its a lot of water so you get pretty good reflections of the mountains around.
Left this time with the train at two in the morning back to Tupiza. The train was a lot better, but the ceenery From the bus was just crazy cool. From desire to snow peaks and canyons. So different. But we though we been there done that ! Hihi.
Did a three hours horse ride in Tupiza for the canyons.. Gave me a good laugh at Mirco, the worst horse rider ever. Our guide had to jump of and go and get him and the horse. He even co plained about his balls a lot of times.. Funny guy this crazy Italian..
From Tupiza we went on another bus to the border of Argentina. Crossed it and had to wait a few hours for the bus to Salta. Northern Argentina. Beautiful city, and everything here is so European. Felt like a needed something more developed right now.. so far, I do love Argentina.
Rigth now I'm in Cafayate, a really small village south from Salta that's famous for it's wine. The second best wine district in Argentina. Today I went around with my awesome bicycle for some wineries. Lovely red wine.
Great steaks and awesome wine. Yiiiipie. Argentina is a lot more expensive thou, have to watch my money. A bus ride for three hours in Bolivia cost me two dollars and here it's twenty. Different yes.
Heading for the biggest and most famous wine district today called Mendoza. Only gonna spend two and a half day there, no accommodation because of copa america.
Ciao for this time.
